The thickness chosen for this HDPE geomembrane depends on soil conditions and the level of risk of holding liquid. For aquaculture applications, the required HDPE geomembranes are not very thick (0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.75 mm). However, for waste applications that may pollute the environment, such as palm waste or mining waste, a thicker geomembrane (1.5 mm, 2 mm) is usually required.
